Product & Delivery Lead

Role Overview

Own what we build, why we're building it, and whether it ships on time and on margin across every project in the studio.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product definition for every active project: the brief, the spec, the cost target, and the written definition of done at each phase
  • Own project margin: quote, resource, track and protect it, and raise a change order the moment scope moves
  • Run the weekly design and engineering gate: work passes or it does not, and you make that call
  • Be the senior point of contact for every client, including the difficult conversations
  • Break each project into phases with one named owner, a budget and a date, and hold people to them
  • Arbitrate trade-offs between design intent, engineering reality and cost, and document why each decision was made
  • Forecast studio capacity and flag conflicts before they become slipped dates
  • Escalate to the Creative Director only for design authority and genuine exceptions, not for routine decisions

Requirements

  • 6+ years running product development or delivery, at least 3 of them in physical products rather than software
  • You have owned a P&L, a project margin, or a budget you were personally accountable for
  • You can read a mechanical drawing, a BOM and a cost sheet, and challenge all three
  • You have written a product spec that engineers actually built from
  • You have told a client no, in writing, and kept the relationship
  • You are comfortable being the most organized person in a room full of creative people, without becoming the process police
  • Based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate — this is a studio job, not a remote one

Qualifications

  • Engineering or design degree, or equivalent experience earned on the shop floor
  • Experience with consumer hardware, connected products, or regulated categories
  • Have worked with contract manufacturers and understand what tooling actually costs
  • Have worked with early-stage founders and know how to manage ambition against a budget
