Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, API integration, and enterprise application development, preferably with strong exposure to the Airline / Aviation domain.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in Java 8 and Java 17, Spring Boot, microservices, XML/SOAP, JSON, REST APIs, and enterprise integration. Candidates should have experience working on airline-related applications, booking systems, reservation platforms, or airline operational systems.

The candidate should possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, along with excellent communication abilities, as the role involves direct customer interaction and regular project updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 8 and Java 17.
  • Develop and integrate web services using XML, SOAP, JSON, and REST APIs.
  • Work with API documentation and specifications using Swagger and YAML.
  • Develop and maintain applications related to airline operations, booking, reservations, and aviation systems.
  • Perform API testing and troubleshooting using Postman and SoapUI.
  • Build, deploy, and manage applications on Apache Tomcat.
  • Use Maven for project build and dependency management.
  • Work with Jenkins and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.
  • Use Git/GitHub for source code management and version control.
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-based tools to improve development productivity.
  • Implement logging and debugging using Log4j.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with customers and stakeholders, providing regular updates on development progress and technical issues.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
  • Strong expertise in Core Java and JDK 8 / JDK 17.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  • Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency (Executors, Synchronization, CompletableFuture, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka / Kafka Streaming.
  • Strong SQL and database experience with DB2, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud services and application deployment.
  • Deep understanding of Java memory management and Garbage Collection mechanisms.
  • Experience in microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of XML, SOAP, JSON, REST APIs, Swagger, and YAML.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat, Maven, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted coding and development.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Domain Requirements – Airline / Aviation (Mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience in the Airline / Aviation domain is mandatory.
  • Understanding of airline business processes and systems.
  • Exposure to airline reservation and booking systems, PNR, ticketing, fares, check-in, or flight-related services.
  • Experience integrating airline systems with external APIs, GDS platforms, or third-party services will be an added advantage.Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Strong hands-on Java development and enterprise application integration experience.
  • Airline domain experience with exposure to booking, reservation, or airline operational systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with customer-facing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
