Summary: UST is looking for a strong hands-on AI/ML Fullstack Engineer with 5 to 8 years of overall experience, combining applied AI/ML expertise (SciKit-learn, Deep Learning, Computer Vision), Java Fullstack development, and deep Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) domain knowledge to automate enrollment and billing processes for healthcare platforms.

The Opportunity:

  • Design, build, and productionize machine learning models and intelligent automation to improve billing accuracy, enrollment processing, and document/image handling.
  • Deliver and support Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) configuration, Java microservices, and modern UI components.
  • Manage the end-to-end ML lifecycle from data preparation, model training, and evaluation to deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Translate complex technical and functional requirements into robust ML models, APIs, and ORMB/Java solutions.
  • Resolve technical issues and errors during development, batch execution, and production support.
  • Act as a Point of Contact (POC), mentor junior associates, and collaborate effectively with onshore/offshore stakeholders in an Agile SCRUM environment.
  • Ensure adherence to coding, model governance, and testing standards through design and code reviews.

What you need:

  • 5 to 8 years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Machine Learning / Deep Learning development.
  • Strong expertise in US healthcare Enrollment & Billing and Member Billing processes (group/individual enrollment, premium billing, invoicing, payments, adjustments, delinquency, reconciliation).
  • Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills to articulate work and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Elevance Health vendors).
  • Flexibility to extend work hours as per project demand when necessary.

  • Applied AI/ML & Deep Learning: Python, SciKit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Pandas, and NumPy
  • Computer Vision: OpenCV, CNNs, OCR, and document image processing (enrollment forms/billing extraction)
  • Java Fullstack Development: Java 8+/11+, Spring Boot, REST microservices, Hibernate/JPA, Angular or React
  • Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB): Customer, Account, Billing, Payments, Rating/Pricing configuration, Algorithms, Batch jobs, and Plug-in scripts
  • Data & SQL: Strong SQL and Oracle database skills for data extraction, feature engineering, and validation
  • End-to-End ML Lifecycle: Data prep, training, evaluation, REST/batch deployment, monitoring, and retraining

Desired Skills:

  • Cloud ML Platforms & Containerization: AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI, Docker, Kubernetes
  • GenAI, NLP & MLOps: Generative AI / LLMs, MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow
  • ORMB Customizations: Java/Groovy customizations, Business Services, BPA scripts, Zones, Portals, and Web Services/API integrations
  • Tools & CI/CD: ETL tools, Control-M / schedulers, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket
  • Healthcare Domain: US healthcare payer domain experience (ASO/Fully Insured, Medicare/Medicaid)

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
