To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Full Stack Engineer

Job purpose:

Geidea Store is the platform Geidea uses to remotely manage, update and control its POS terminal fleet. This role designs, builds and runs it end to end, across backend services and the web console. Without it, app and firmware rollouts slow down, terminals need costly field visits, and security and compliance gaps go unnoticed. Merchants would face more downtime, and Geidea would lose its ability to scale the fleet and launch new merchant services quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and own complex Java / Spring Boot microservices end to end that handle traffic from up to 1M users and devices.
  • Design REST APIs and event contracts on Kafka and MQTT between web clients, services and devices.
  • Model MongoDB data and Redis caching for high-volume, scalable systems.
  • Implement secure flows: JWT at the API gateway (Spring Cloud Gateway), RBAC, OTP login and TOTP-based device authentication.
  • Build data-heavy Vue 3 screens (PrimeVue, Pinia) with dashboards (Chart.js) and maps (Leaflet, MapLibre).
  • Add structured logging, metrics and tests so production issues can be traced across services.
  • Review code, mentor developers and take part in design reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years in software development, 1+ of them on production Java / Spring Boot backends. (High)
  • Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3, Spring Security, Spring Cloud Gateway (WebFlux) and Spring Data MongoDB. (High)
  • 1+ years of frontend, ideally Vue 3 with Pinia and PrimeVue (React or Angular acceptable). (Low)
  • Microservices and event-driven design with Kafka: retries, ordering, idempotency. (High)
  • MongoDB and Redis: data modelling, indexing, caching. (High)
  • JWT, OTP / TOTP and role-based access control. (Medium)
  • Docker, CI/CD (Azure DevOps or similar), JUnit and Mockito. (Medium)
