Oracle Fusion Application Release Manager

Job Description: Oracle Fusion Application Release Manager

About the Role

This is currently a single-resource seat in the baseline, and it's the one role on the account with visibility across every module -- Financials, HCM, SCM, Procurement -- because release and change management touch all of them. Fanatics' RFP also flags this role by name as the likely owner of Oracle AI feature intake going forward, so there's a real chance this seat's scope grows into that.

What You'll Own

  • Defining and managing the release calendar for Oracle Fusion Cloud quarterly updates, patches and project-driven changes.
  • Coordinating release schedules across Financials, HCM, SCM and Procurement workstreams so nobody gets surprised by a conflicting change window.
  • Developing and maintaining release plans, runbooks and cutover checklists.
  • Managing dependencies between releases, integrations and business-critical periods -- month-end, year-end, open enrollment -- so nothing major lands during a close.
  • Governing the change-management process for all Oracle Fusion environments (Development, Test, UAT, Production), including reviewing and approving change requests in line with the account's change-advisory-board process.
  • Ensuring proper version control and documentation of all configurations and code changes.
  • Coordinating with Oracle on quarterly cloud updates -- assessing impact, managing regression testing, and communicating what's changing to every affected team.
  • Managing the Oracle Fusion environment strategy (sandbox, test, staging, production), including coordinating refreshes, cloning and availability for project teams.
  • Working with technical teams on deploying configurations, integrations (OIC), reports (OTBI/BIP) and customizations, and overseeing FBDI/ADFDI data loads tied to release activity.

What You Need to Bring

  • A year or more supporting Oracle Fusion Applications (ERP/HCM/SCM) in a release-management, environment-management or AMS capacity.
  • Familiarity with Oracle's quarterly release cadence and the opt-in features process, and comfort running a change-advisory-board-style review.
  • Enough technical breadth to coordinate OIC integrations, OTBI/BIP reports and FBDI/ADFDI data loads without needing every detail explained.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills -- this role touches every functional and technical team on the account.
