Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer is a hands-on role for someone who can take a feature from a written requirement to a production release with limited supervision. You will work across backend services, APIs, data, and frontend interfaces, and will also build AI-enabled features where they add real value. Alongside your own delivery, you will review code, help junior engineers, and contribute to practical technical decisions within the project.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support full-stack product features
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django; experience with Node.js is useful
• Build responsive frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript
• Implement AI-enabled features such as retrieval-based search, conversational interfaces, and workflow automation
• Work with embeddings, vector databases, model APIs, prompt design, and evaluation approaches where required
• Design data models and integrations, keeping performance, security, maintainability, and delivery timelines in view
• Write automated tests, review pull requests, troubleshoot production issues, and improve monitoring and reliability
• Break requirements into practical development tasks, estimate effort, and raise technical risks early
• Support Associate Engineers through code reviews, pairing, and day-to-day guidance

Requirements

Experience

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 to 5 years of software engineering experience, with evidence of independently delivering production features
• Strong working knowledge of Python and API development, together with hands-on experience in React and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of databases, authentication, authorization, Git, testing, and CI/CD
• Experience integrating LLM services or building AI-enabled application features
• Working knowledge of cloud deployment, containers, application monitoring, and secure development practices

Technical Depth

• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS services used for application hosting, data, identity, AI, and monitoring
• Practical understanding of RAG pipelines, vector search, prompt and model evaluation, and AI observability
• Familiarity with Docker, infrastructure as code, queues, caching, and event-driven integrations
• Ability to discuss technical trade-offs clearly with engineers, consultants, and business stakeholders
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly, with appropriate review and testing of generated code
