Job Description: Project Manager – Social Enterprise & Product Development

About the Project

Ekaa Villa is developing a social enterprise initiative focused on manufacturing hotel amenities and hospitality products by empowering local women and the wives of our employees.

The objective is to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women from the local community while developing quality products for the hospitality industry. The initiative will involve training, production, quality control, product development and eventually marketing and selling these products to hotels.

We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Project Manager who can take ownership of the project and manage its day-to-day operations, from working with local women to developing market-ready products and building relationships with hotels.

Key Responsibilities

On-ground Project Coordination

Manage day-to-day operations and on-ground activities.

Coordinate with local women, workers and production teams.

Ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of project activities.

Training & Capacity Building

Organise and conduct training sessions for participating women.

Help workers understand production processes, product specifications and quality standards.

Monitor progress and provide continuous guidance and support.

Product Development & Sampling

Coordinate product development and preparation of samples.

Ensure samples meet the required quality and specifications.

Coordinate revisions and improvements until samples are approved and ready for production.

Sales & Marketing

Identify potential hotel clients and business opportunities.

Promote and market the products to hotels and hospitality businesses.

Build relationships with hotel procurement teams and decision-makers.

Coordinate product presentations, sampling and

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

Act as the primary link between the project team, workers and the owners of Ekaa Villa.

Regularly communicate project progress, challenges and requirements.

Share updates and reports on production, training, sampling and sales.

Ensure alignment between project goals and on-ground execution.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

2–3 years of prior experience in project management, social enterprise initiatives, community-based manufacturing, skill development or similar projects.

Experience working with grassroots communities, women-led initiatives or small-scale production teams will be preferred.

Good people-management and interpersonal skills.

Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Basic working knowledge of English; fluency is not essential.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to work directly with local workers and communities.

Interest in social impact, entrepreneurship and the hospitality industry.
