Business Unit: Investor Communication Solutions (ICS) helps clients in North America and Europe meet their regulatory compliance needs and manage critical communications to shareholders. We serve banks, brokers, mutual funds, retirement funds, and corporate issuers. Proxy mailings and vote processing account for a large portion of ICS; the industry relies on us for quarterly and annual meetings, disclosure communications, prospectus, and other financial communications, like tax reporting, to investors in equity securities and mutual funds. ProxyEdge®, our innovative electronic proxy delivery and voting solution for institutional investors, helps ensure the participation of stockholders of many companies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop Perl scripts and modules for various applications.
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Test and debug Perl applications.
  • Integrate Perl applications with external APIs.
  • Core Back-end Programming involving primarily collections and file handling
  • Debugging and understanding existing applications and enhancing them
  • Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Provide QA and Production Support for developed modules

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years’ experience on PERL on Linux environment
  • Develop Perl scripts and modules for various applications.
  • Experience with Perl frameworks (e.g., Mojolicious, Catalyst) is a plus
  • Having experience with JavaScript is preferred
  • Test and debug Perl applications.
  • Integrate Perl applications with external APIs.
  • Core Back-end Programming involving primarily collections and file handling
  • Debugging and understanding existing applications and enhancing them
  • Provide QA and Production Support for developed modules
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in JIRA, ALM, Xray, Git, or other relevant test management/version control tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Unit testing automation tools – PERL TEST::SIMPLE and TEST:MORE
  • Experience with test-driven development, Agile methodologies and Jenkins framework
  • Good understanding of Git or similar version control tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
