We are looking for experienced Strategic Project Leads – Software Engineering to manage large-scale software engineering data and evaluation programs supporting frontier AI models.

  • Time Zone Requirement: Minimum 4-hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST)
  • Engagement: Freelance / Project-Based🔹 Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of software engineering data and evaluation programs for advanced AI models.
  • Manage coding data, coding RLHF/preference data, SWE benchmarks, model evaluations, agentic coding, code generation, and code repair workflows.
  • Oversee contributor sourcing, onboarding, calibration, reviewer capacity, and performance management.
  • Track throughput, technical quality, rework, defects, delivery timelines, and program costs.
  • Review code, tests, task metadata, and final deliverables to ensure technical correctness.
  • Identify invalid technical work and make informed release, rejection, and quality decisions.
  • Improve task design, evaluation rubrics, instructions, and review processes to reduce defects and rework.
  • Develop recovery plans for programs facing quality, cost, productivity, or timeline challenges.
  • Coordinate distributed software engineers, reviewers, and team leads.
  • Communicate delivery progress, risks, corrective actions, and outcomes to customer research and program teams.
  • Use Python, SQL, or similar tools for quality analysis, defect tracking, and operational reporting.✅ Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with direct experience operating production software engineering data programs for frontier AI models.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: AI coding data, coding RLHF, SWE benchmarks, model evaluations, agentic coding, code generation, or code repair.
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end program delivery, including contributor calibration, throughput, quality, rework, cost management, and delivery recovery.
  • Strong software engineering knowledge and the ability to read code, understand tests, inspect technical artifacts, and assess correctness.
  • Experience managing distributed software engineering contributors, reviewers, and technical team leads.
  • Ability to independently diagnose operational and technical quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or similar tools for reporting and quality analysis.
  • Ability to commit to 8 hours per day with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.🎯 Ideal Candidate
