PHP Backend Developer

About the Role

RTAC is seeking a motivated PHP Backend Developer to build and maintain the server-side functionality of its software products and business applications. The role focuses on developing application logic, managing databases, integrating external services, and building dependable backend solutions that support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop server-side modules and backend functionality using PHP.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Design database structures and manage data operations using MySQL.
  • Implement business logic, data validation, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Integrate third-party services and external application interfaces.
  • Analyze technical issues, debug code, and improve application performance.
  • Maintain existing applications and implement new functional requirements.
  • Work closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, and project teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with MySQL, database design, and SQL queries.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and server-side application architecture.
  • Knowledge of Laravel or other PHP frameworks is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Git, and debugging tools.
  • Understanding of web security and backend performance fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Freshers with relevant PHP development projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
