Job Summary

Serve as a senior product specialist focused on Mendix applications shaping secure and scalable low code solutions for enterprise clients in a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business needs into Mendix based products that enhance operational efficiency especially in life and annuities insurance while ensuring high quality delivery and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Design Mendix applications that transform complex business requirements into efficient and maintainable digital products that deliver measurable value to clients and internal teams in a hybrid work environment.
• Develop reusable Mendix components and microflows that optimize performance improve maintainability and support consistent implementation of enterprise standards across multiple product lines.
• Configure data models pages and logic within Mendix to ensure accurate processing of business rules validations and workflows that reduce manual effort for business users.
• Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to refine user stories and acceptance criteria ensuring that Mendix solutions meet functional needs and non functional expectations.
• Work closely with quality engineering colleagues to define test scenarios support automated testing approaches and resolve defects quickly to maintain high reliability of Mendix applications.
• Integrate Mendix applications with enterprise systems such as policy administration billing and customer portals using connectors and services that ensure secure and consistent data exchange.
• Optimize user experience through thoughtful page design navigation flows and responsive behavior so that end users can complete their tasks efficiently with minimal training.
• Monitor production usage metrics and user feedback to identify Mendix application improvements and implement enhancements that increase stability performance and satisfaction.
• Document solution designs configuration decisions and operational procedures to support maintainability audit readiness and smooth transitions between product releases.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to align Mendix deployments with organizational standards for access control data protection and compliance requirements.
• Guide peers on Mendix development practices share knowledge on patterns and troubleshooting techniques and support a culture of continuous improvement within the product team.
• Engage with stakeholders to explain Mendix capabilities and limitations in clear business language helping them make informed decisions about product scope and priorities.
• Align daily work with company objectives by delivering Mendix solutions that streamline operations reduce processing time and ultimately improve service outcomes for customers and communities.

Qualifications

• Apply strong Mendix development experience across multiple projects including expertise in domain modeling microflows nanoflows and page design to deliver robust low code solutions.
• Leverage practical knowledge of application lifecycle management within Mendix such as versioning and deployment pipelines to support controlled and predictable releases.
• Use experience in integration patterns including REST based services and database access within Mendix to connect applications with core enterprise platforms.
• Draw on understanding of life and annuities insurance concepts such as policies premiums claims and beneficiary structures to design solutions that reflect real world business processes.
• Apply sound foundations in software engineering including testing strategies performance tuning and error handling to ensure production ready Mendix applications.
• Demonstrate ability to operate independently within a hybrid work model by managing priorities communicating progress clearly and collaborating effectively using digital tools.
• Utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills to investigate defects identify root causes within Mendix configurations and implement sustainable fixes that prevent recurrence.
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non technical partners in spoken and written form to explain solution options tradeoffs and expected outcomes for each Mendix feature.

Certifications Required

Mendix Advanced Developer certification preferred
