Position: Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation (FTI) 2.11.x Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Onsite (base location can be any UST locations)

Experience: 8–10 Years in Trade Finance & FTI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Travel: As required based on project/business needs

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation (FTI) 2.11.x Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Trade Finance and Corporate Banking.

The ideal candidate should have deep functional knowledge of trade finance products along with hands-on technical experience in FTI customisation, development, integration, reporting, troubleshooting, and production support.

The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver scalable trade finance solutions while ensuring adherence to internal SLAs and incident management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Finance Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into FTI system configurations and workflows.
  • Configure and support Trade Finance products, including:
  • Letters of Credit – Import & Export
  • Bank Guarantees
  • Documentary Collections
  • Supply Chain Finance
  • Open Account Trade Solutions
  • Provide functional consulting and best practices aligned with trade finance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with UCP 600, URDG 758, international trade regulations, and banking standards.

FTI Customisation & Development

  • Develop and customise solutions using:
  • Java / J2EE
  • Spring Framework
  • JMS
  • MySQL
  • FTI SDK
  • Proprietary FTI APIs and scripting tools
  • Design, develop, and enhance FTI workflows, screens, interfaces, and business rules.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and technical troubleshooting.

Integration & Messaging

  • Design and implement integrations between FTI and:
  • Core Banking Systems
  • Payment Systems
  • Risk & Compliance Platforms
  • Corporate Banking Applications
  • Develop and support SWIFT integrations, including:
  • MT700
  • MT707
  • MT760
  • Other Trade Finance SWIFT messages
  • Support ISO 20022 messaging requirements and transformation processes.

Reporting & Database Management

  • Develop, customise, and troubleshoot FTI reports.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • FTI database schema
  • FTI tables and relationships
  • Report data structures
  • Analyse report performance issues and optimise reporting solutions.
  • Create SQL queries and data extracts for business users and operational teams.

Testing & Production Support

  • Conduct:
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Regression Testing
  • Provide production support and resolve application issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.

Incident & Vendor Management

  • Manage incidents, service requests, and defect tickets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to internal SLAs and support processes.
  • Coordinate with Finastra and other third-party vendors for issue resolution.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder discussions to achieve business objectives.

  • Java

  • Spring Framework
  • JMS
  • MySQL
  • Strong SQL and database analysis skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and message-based architectures.

Reporting Skills

  • Expertise in FTI report development and support.
  • Strong understanding of FTI tables, data structures, and table relationships.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data and reporting issues effectively.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with:
  • Oracle Database
  • IBM DB2
  • Finastra Corporate Channels (FCC)
  • Exposure to ISO 20022 migration projects.
  • Finastra certifications:
  • Finastra Certified Associate – Fusion Trade Innovation (Functional)
  • Finastra Certified Associate – Fusion Trade Innovation (Technical)
  • Experience in large-scale banking transformation programmes.
