This is a joint hire by Strontium and IntellifAI Labs. Strontium and IntellifAI Labs are collaborating to bring state-of-the-art AI technologies to everyday users.

About us

Strontium is one of the fastest growing AI companies in Canada: fully bootstrapped, 15+ years in the game, serving 100,000+ customers across 60+ countries. We build and sell AI-powered creative tools directly to consumers. For example, here are two of our products:

1. VideoExpress.ai: our video generation product, rated 4.8★ on Capterra with 6000+ reviews and #1 in the category: https://www.capterra.com/p/10019949/VideoExpress/reviews/

2. Artistly.ai: our image generation product, rated 4.8★ on TrustPilot with 1000+ reviews: https://ca.trustpilot.com/review/artistly.ai

We run our own image, video and audio models on our own GPU fleet. We ship fast, iterate constantly, and compete with companies 100x our size.

The role

We need one senior technical project manager who owns projects end to end: new standalone applications, workflows and loops, and our platform and API layer. You understand the ML and GPUs underneath, make the higher-level architecture decisions, break the work down and give tasks to senior engineers, build the front end with AI tools when that is faster, and keep following up until it ships.

You won't be handed a spec. You'll pick the targets, justify them, and own the result end to end. Unlimited access to Claude Code and Codex will be available to support your best work.

Full-time

  • Remote
  • Flexible hours (reasonable overlap with EST)
  • Competitive compensation

What you'll do

Your job is to find whatever is limiting the company’s output and remove it. The list below is today’s work, not a fixed task list. The bottleneck might be a model, a pipeline, a launch, an approval or a handoff between teams, and it will change month to month. When it moves, you move with it.

1. Drive applications from idea to launch. Own separate, independent applications all the way through: make the higher-level system architecture decisions, give clear tasks to senior developers, and verify the result.

2. Build workflows and loops. Systems that take a goal (a fixed customer issue, a finished ad, a passing eval) and reach it reliably, with agents doing most of the execution and people at the right checkpoints. Define what "good" looks like first, then measure against it.

3. Find and remove bottlenecks that limit the company’s output. Identify what is holding a project back and take it through to completion—whether that means securing app approvals, setting up integrations, completing enterprise or compliance requirements, or building a front end yourself with Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

Minimal qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering, with a strong coding background.
  • Several years as a technical project manager, engineering lead or technical founder, shipping software products with engineers. You have written the tasks, chased the blockers and owned the launch date.
  • Hands-on ML in Python: you have run image, video, audio or language models (PyTorch or similar) and you understand how GPUs, VRAM, batching and throughput drive cost.
  • Systems thinking: you can map a problem from input to outcome, find the real constraint, and design the process that fixes it.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools: Claude Code, Cursor, CLAUDE.md files, etc. If you don't know what these are, this role isn't the right fit.
  • Hustle: a track record of getting things approved, launched or unblocked when the first answer was "no" or "wait".
  • Clear written English. Your updates say what is done, what is left, what is blocked and what is next.

Nice to have

  • Experience securing app publishing approvals (Meta, Google, TikTok), setting up WhatsApp/SMS integrations, or handling compliance work (SOC 2 audits, trust pages, security questionnaires).
  • You have directed senior engineers, including ones who know more than you in their area.

This role is not for you if

  • You are early in your career or need a spec for each step. This is a senior role.
  • You can wire up an API but can't explain how the platform behind it works (how OpenRouter routes traffic, why a Meta review fails).
  • You are a pure researcher who only wants to train models, or a pure PM who can't read code or a GPU bill.
  • You hand a blocker back instead of finding a second path.
