Software Mobile Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Mobile Engineer based in India.

We are looking for a passionate Software Mobile Engineer to help build scalable, high-performance mobile applications for iOS and Android using a shared codebase. In this fully remote role, you will contribute to developing engaging user experiences and reliable features that support essential business operations. Working closely with product managers, designers, backend teams, and experienced engineers, you will help transform product ideas into effective mobile solutions. You will have opportunities to take ownership of technical challenges, influence implementation decisions, and improve application quality and performance. This role is suited to a proactive developer who enjoys solving problems, collaborating across disciplines, and continuously developing their technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities

• Develop smooth, responsive, and visually engaging cross-platform mobile features for iOS and Android using Flutter and Dart.
• Build reusable UI components and implement functionality that delivers a consistent experience across devices and screen sizes.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend RESTful APIs and manage local data efficiently.
• Write clean, readable, maintainable code in accordance with engineering standards and established architecture practices.
• Develop and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests to ensure application stability and reliable interactions across components and workflows.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance bottlenecks reported by users or support teams.
• Debug and optimize application performance across different devices, operating systems, and screen sizes.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend teams, and senior engineers within an Agile development environment.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and pair programming sessions.
• Actively seek feedback, share knowledge, and apply engineering best practices to improve code quality and team collaboration.
• Contribute to technical discussions and help shape implementation decisions while taking ownership of assigned work.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional mobile development experience, with a strong focus on Flutter and Dart.
• Solid understanding of Flutter development and modern state management solutions such as Riverpod, BLoC, Provider, or Cubit.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with local databases such as SQLite or Hive.
• Familiarity with Git version control, pull requests, code reviews, and standard ticketing systems.
• Good understanding of mobile application architecture, app lifecycle concepts, and cross-platform development principles.
• Strong eye for UI/UX details, animations, and responsive design.
• Ability to write idiomatic, maintainable code and contribute to well-structured mobile applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly within a remote-first, cross-functional team.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt to evolving technologies, and stay informed about mobile development trends.
• Awareness of modern developer productivity tools and AI-assisted development tools.
• Nice to have: Experience with native iOS development using Swift or Android development using Kotlin.
• Experience working with Firebase, Sentry, GitHub, or similar tools and frameworks.
• Experience building high-quality mobile applications and applying performance benchmarking and optimization techniques.
• Understanding of how mobile applications are deployed, monitored, and maintained in production.
