Website Developer (Part-Time)

Salary: ₹12,000 - ₹15,000 per month

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced WordPress developer who writes custom code rather than relying on page builders and off-the-shelf plugins. You’ll join our web team remotely on a part-time basis and work alongside them to build, customise and maintain our websites.

Responsibilities

• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
• Create custom post types, taxonomies, fields and Gutenberg blocks
• Customise and extend existing themes and plugins using hooks and filters
• Debug and fix issues across PHP, JavaScript and the database
• Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals and mobile performance
• Keep sites secure, updated and backed up
• Apply on-page SEO basics in code (schema, meta tags, clean markup)
• Collaborate with the web team on briefs, code reviews and releases
• Share clear progress updates

Requirements

• Strong PHP and deep knowledge of WordPress core (template hierarchy, hooks, WP_Query, REST API)
• Proven experience building custom themes and plugins, not just configuring them
• Solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with ACF or similar custom field frameworks
• Working knowledge of MySQL and Git
• Understanding of WordPress security and performance best practices
• Experience working in a team, with good written English
• Reliable internet connection and your own laptop

Nice to have

• WooCommerce customisation
• Shopify theme customisation
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Console
• Figma or basic design skills
