ETRM Developer

The ETRM Software and Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platforms and associated integration solutions. This role works closely with trading, risk management, scheduling, settlements, accounting, and IT teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions that support commodity trading operations across power, natural gas, crude oil, refined products, renewables, and environmental markets.

The developer will lead or participate in system implementations, application enhancements, data integrations, cloud initiatives, and business process automation efforts while ensuring compliance with corporate governance, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements

ETRM Application Development

• Design, develop, configure, and support ETRM applications such as Endur or RightAngle platforms.

• Create custom workflows, reports, interfaces, and extensions to support front-, middle-, and back-office operations

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Support platform upgrades, patching, and version migration System Integration - Design and maintain integrations between ETRM systems and:

• Market data providers (ZEMA)

• ERP systems (SAP)

• Scheduling and logistics applications (ETRM / Veson / MCAT)

• Risk analytics platforms (GARM / MDAS / cQuant)

• Regulatory reporting systems

• Data warehouses and analytics platforms

• Develop APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.

• Implement real-time and batch processing solutions. Data Management - Design and maintain data models supporting trading and risk workflows

• Develop ETL/ELT processes for transaction, market, and risk data

• Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and auditability

• Support cloud-based data platforms and data lake architectures Solution Delivery - Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and release management

• Prepare technical designs and system documentation

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards

• Provide production support and issue resolution Technical Leadership - Participate in strategic planning and roadmap development

Experience

• 3+ years of experience supporting commodity trading and risk management applications

• 2+ years of direct Endur or RightAngle experience

• Experience supporting front-to-back-office business processes

• Experience leading teams from small-to-medium projects within ETRM application
