Lead Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer- IC role with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, microservices, system design, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and React. The role involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, with end-to-end technical ownership and no people-management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Python, FastAPI, and REST APIs.
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices-based applications.
• Contribute to system design, architecture decisions, and performance optimization.
• Develop and integrate frontend applications using React.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure and AKS.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
• Integrate LLMs, RAG, and AI-enabled capabilities into applications.
• Ensure code quality, security, automated testing, and engineering best practices.Must-Have Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, and REST API development.
• Experience with microservices architecture and system design.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and AKS.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with application monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Exposure to AI/LLM integration, RAG, or AI-enabled application development.
• Experience building or maintaining SaaS or enterprise-scale applications.
• Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, API security, and automated testing.Experience & Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to independently design, develop, deploy, and support production applications.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical ownership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Role Type: Individual Contributor (Hands-on)
