Research Scientist — Advanced Computational Systems

Electro Battle
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

About NoahNoah is an early-stage deep-tech company pursuing ambitious research and development in advanced computational systems.

We are building proprietary technology and investing in fundamental research to address challenging problems at the frontier of computing and intelligent systems.

As we expand our research capabilities, we are looking for exceptional scientific minds and engineers who want to work on difficult, unsolved problems and contribute to something from its foundations.

Further details about our technology and research programme will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

The OpportunityWe are looking for an exceptional researcher to join Noah's founding research team in Bengaluru.

This is not a conventional engineering position or an opportunity to work exclusively on existing tools and frameworks. We are looking for someone capable of original thinking, rigorous experimentation and independent technical leadership.

You will have substantial influence over research direction, technical decisions and the development of our foundational technology.

What We Are Looking ForWe are particularly interested in candidates with exceptional depth in one or more of the following areas:

  • Machine learning and computational research
  • Deep learning and neural network research
  • Mathematical modelling and optimization
  • Representation learning and statistical learning
  • Reinforcement learning and decision theory
  • Computational neuroscience and cognitive science
  • Control theory and complex systems
  • High-performance computing and advanced computational engineeringWe value the ability to conduct original research, challenge existing assumptions, formulate difficult problems and translate theoretical ideas into experimentally demonstrated results.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • PhD, postdoctoral research experience or equivalent demonstrated research excellence in a relevant discipline.
  • A strong record of original research, publications, patents or significant technical contributions.
  • Experience developing, implementing and evaluating novel computational methods.
  • Exceptional mathematical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong programming and research implementation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly ambitious research team.
  • Intellectual curiosity, scientific integrity and a first-principles approach to difficult problems.

We are not limiting this opportunity to candidates with a particular academic background or career path. Exceptional individuals with demonstrated research ability and outstanding technical contributions are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Equity

We are prepared to offer highly competitive cash compensation together with meaningful equity participation.

Compensation is open to negotiation and will reflect the candidate's experience, research achievements, technical capabilities and expected contribution.

For exceptional candidates, we are willing to consider premium compensation packages and substantial equity opportunities.

We want to attract people who can make an extraordinary contribution, and we are prepared to structure the opportunity accordingly.

Why Noah?

  • Join an ambitious deep-tech venture at its earliest stage.
  • Work on challenging foundational research rather than routine implementation.
  • Have meaningful influence over research direction and technical decisions.
  • Work closely with the founding team.
  • Help build a research organisation with long-term ambitions.
  • Participate in the company's long-term growth through equity ownership.
