WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate intimately with frontend engineers, product managers, and AI specialists to create integrated features and optimal user experiences.
  • Ensure backend systems are reliable, secure, and perform well under varying loads.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code by adhering to contemporary backend methodologies.
  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure as code when applicable.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of backend features, from initial architecture to final deployment.
  • Monitor production systems and address any performance or scalability challenges.
  • Assist in architectural decisions and promote the evolution of engineering best practices.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in backend development, preferably in SaaS or AI-focused startups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • A strong foundational understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Extensive experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch.
  • Familiarity with message queues, job schedulers, or event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience utilizing Git, CI/CD tools, and writing unit/integration tests.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on performance and security.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in developing and deploying microservices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and processes.
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations.
  • Previous involvement in open-source projects.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
