About DelegenixDelegenix is an early-stage company building AI workers that help businesses get work done. By combining company knowledge, business rules, and integrations with existing applications, Delegenix enables AI workers to investigate requests, take approved actions, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Our focus is on practical automation across functions such as finance, sales, customer success, engineering, and operations.
About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to help build Delegenix’s products and customer solutions from the ground up.
As one of two engineers in the initial team, you will work closely with the founder, Product Manager, and fellow engineer to turn business requirements into working software. Your responsibilities will span user interfaces, backend services, databases, third-party integrations, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting.
You should be comfortable independently delivering complete features, making practical technical recommendations, and learning unfamiliar technologies. This role requires someone who can move beyond a prototype and build software that customers can depend on.
Key Responsibilities
- Build complete features: Develop responsive interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data models, taking work from requirements through testing and deployment.
- Develop AI-enabled workflows: Build capabilities that connect AI models with company knowledge, business rules, and application tools to complete defined tasks.
- Integrate business applications: Connect third-party SaaS platforms through APIs, webhooks, and, where appropriate, Model Context Protocol (MCP). Handle authentication, permissions, rate limits, and integration failures.
- Build operational interfaces: Create interfaces for workflow configuration, approvals, execution status, results, and troubleshooting.
- Make practical design decisions: Contribute to architecture and technology choices, balancing delivery speed, simplicity, maintainability, reliability, and cost.
- Ensure safe and reliable execution: Implement input and output validation, access controls, approval checks, error handling, retries, and safeguards against duplicate actions.
- Own software quality: Write maintainable code, add appropriate automated tests, review your fellow engineer’s changes, and investigate defects across the stack.
- Deploy and operate: Help establish deployment pipelines, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, and basic operational practices. Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability.
- Document and collaborate: Maintain useful setup instructions, technical notes, and operational runbooks. Proactively communicate progress, risks, and technical trade-offs.Required Experience and Skills
- At least 2 years of professional full stack development experience, with evidence of independently delivering and supporting production features.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and React, including component design, hooks, state management, and API integration.
- Solid backend development experience in Node.js or Python.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, SQL, migrations, and query troubleshooting.
- Experience designing or consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party applications.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization, including secure handling of credentials and application permissions.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Strong debugging skills and practical experience with Git, automated testing, and code review.
- Ability to make sensible implementation decisions, break down loosely defined requirements, and raise questions or risks early.
- A self-motivated working style, strong ownership, and willingness to work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and integrations as needed.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building software in a small team or early-stage startup.
- Hands-on experience integrating large language model APIs or building AI-enabled applications, including through substantial personal projects.
- Familiarity with tool calling, MCP, retrieval-augmented generation, or evaluating AI outputs.
- Experience with background jobs, queues, asynchronous workflows, and reliable execution of multi-step tasks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, infrastructure as code, or AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, and SQS.
- Experience integrating business applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, or accounting platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. What Success Looks LikeYou independently deliver reliable features across the stack, help turn early product ideas into usable software, and resolve issues through deployment and production use. Your work creates reusable foundations for integrations and AI workflows while keeping the system understandable and manageable for a small engineering team.
