We are looking for a BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team and help transform business data into meaningful insights and actionable reporting. The role combines strong technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, Databricks, and semantic modelling with a solid understanding of business requirements and stakeholder needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements, design scalable BI solutions, and deliver high-quality dashboards and analytical products. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI reports and semantic models, working with data in Databricks and SQL, and ensuring that data is accurate, well-structured, and fit for business use.

Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills are essential, as the role requires translating business questions into technical solutions and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working with Jira and an understanding of Agile ways of working would also be expected.

Role And Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Design and maintain robust semantic models to support consistent and scalable reporting.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Work with Databricks and modern data platforms to access and prepare data for BI solutions.
  • Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships across business and technical teams.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, performance, and usability of BI products.
  • Work within Agile delivery processes, using Jira to manage requirements, tasks, and delivery.
  • Contribute to BI standards, best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong experience with Power BI and BI development.
  • Solid understanding of semantic modelling, including dimensional modelling and data relationships.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud/data platforms.
  • Good business analysis skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with Jira and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
