JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an API Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure integrations between our AML & Compliance platform and external systems such as banking cores, payment gateways, KYC providers, and regulatory reporting tools. This role is critical to ensuring seamless data exchange, compliance accuracy, and scalability of our IT infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs for secure data exchange.
• External Integrations: Lead integration projects with banks, fintechs, sanctions databases, and regulators.
• Legacy System Support: Build middleware connectors for legacy systems to facilitate smooth data transitions.
• Security Protocols: Implement authentication, encryption, and compliance protocols (OAuth2, JWT, TLS/SSL).
• System Optimization: Monitor API performance, troubleshoot integration issues, and optimize workflows for maximum scalability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with backend engineers, DevOps, and compliance officers to align integrations with business needs.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• API Architectures: Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and SOAP.
• Integration Platforms: Experience with platforms such as MuleSoft, Apigee, Postman, and Swagger.
• Backend Languages: Proficiency in backend programming languages including Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms and serverless services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Azure Functions, GCP services).
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of AML/KYC workflows and compliance data structures (preferred).
• Security Standards: Solid knowledge of security protocols (TLS, SSL, OAuth2, JWT).
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 3–5 years of experience in API development and integration. Experience in financial services, fintech, or compliance domain is a plus.IDEAL CANDIDATE TRAITS
