Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Java Software Engineer. The Java Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services that power IFI’s digital platforms and user experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing microservices, integrating third-party APIs, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security. The role also involves collaborating with product, design, and media teams to translate show requirements into technical solutions, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews. The engineer will help improve development workflows, contribute to technical documentation, and support deployment and monitoring in production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Programming and Java, with experience building production-grade applications.
• Proficiency in Software Development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful service design.
• Practical knowledge of the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and basic understanding of SQL.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in finance, entertainment, or reality show formats is a plus.
