Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Java Architect role based in Kochi. The Java Architect will design and oversee end-to-end application architectures, with an emphasis on scalable, secure, and maintainable Java-based solutions. Daily responsibilities include defining technical standards, selecting appropriate frameworks, and guiding implementation of microservices and Jakarta EE-based applications. The role involves collaborating with product owners and development teams to translate business requirements into technical designs, performing code and design reviews, and resolving complex technical issues. The Java Architect will also mentor engineers, optimize system performance, and ensure alignment with best practices and design patterns across projects.

Qualifications

• Strong Java-based Software Development skills, including experience building enterprise applications and services.
• Proficiency in Architecture and system design, with the ability to define scalable, secure, and modular solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices design and implementation, including service decomposition and integration.
• Knowledge of Jakarta EE and related frameworks for building robust, transactional, and distributed applications.
• Applied understanding of Design Patterns and best practices in object-oriented and distributed system design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in BFSI or financial services domains is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality, well-tested software.
