Role Description This full-time remote Business Consultant role focuses on helping clients optimize their use of Taxcart’s global tax engine. The Business Consultant analyzes client business models, tax processes, and system integrations to identify opportunities for improved compliance and efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting discovery sessions, gathering requirements, designing implementation approaches, and advising on best practices for sales tax, VAT, and GST workflows. The role involves preparing client-facing presentations, documenting recommendations, and collaborating with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing adoption. The Business Consultant also supports clients with performance reviews, process improvements, and strategic guidance to maximize the value of Taxcart’s solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in consulting or management consulting, including scoping projects, delivering client solutions, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear written documentation and confident client-facing presentations.
  • Finance-related knowledge, especially in areas such as tax, billing, or revenue operations, is highly beneficial.
  • Background in SaaS, ERP, e-commerce, or tax technology implementations is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfort working with cross-functional teams and aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders around shared objectives.
