Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sr Software Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Sr Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power Entrar’s education platforms. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in architecture and design discussions, and reviewing code to ensure quality and performance. The Sr Software Engineer help improve engineering processes, and ensure timely delivery of robust software features.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design with skills including designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming for web or distributed systems.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including building and integrating RESTful APIs or microservices.
Be able to engage with clients, gather requirements, shape solutions, and support technical demos.
Integration expertise in connecting systems, APIs, and services, and managing data and process flows across platforms.
Experience with modern back-end languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or similar).Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Have 3-5 years experience in senior or lead engineering role for a small or medium size firm, in product-based or SaaS environments is an advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
