We are also adopting AI-assisted development tools as part of our engineering workflow. We value engineers who know how to use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools to speed up development, testing, debugging, and documentation while still applying good engineering judgment.

Healthcare experience is a plus. Experience with FHIR, HL7, Mirth Connect, EHR/EMR integrations, or other healthcare interoperability technologies is helpful, but it is not required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and maintain frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
  • Design and develop REST APIs and integrations with other applications and services.
  • Work with databases and write SQL as part of day-to-day development and troubleshooting.
  • Work with Kafka or other messaging/event-driven systems where appropriate.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and help make decisions about application architecture.
  • Write unit and integration tests and help maintain a strong automated test suite.
  • Review code and provide practical feedback to other engineers.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues.
  • Participate in deployments, monitoring, and ongoing production support.
  • Work with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into working software.
  • Document technical decisions, APIs, and important system behavior.
  • Help improve development practices, tooling, and engineering processes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
