Role: Sr Software Engineer – Front End Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview:

Looking for a Sr Software Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to contribute to the development of features for a SaaS based XDR product hosted on AWS — Adlumin, the flagship offering from N-able in the cybersecurity domain. The ideal candidate will work as an individual contributor, playing a key role in building new functionalities for the Adlumin platform.

Core Front-End Engineering

  • 7+ years of hands-on UI development experience on large-scale, cloud-native SaaS platforms
  • Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), including responsive, accessible UI design
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles
  • Ability to translate wireframes and design specifications into production-grade, reusable UI components
  • Package Security & Upgrade Management (triaging and fixing npm vulnerabilities)
  • End to end technical ownership & design of reuseable components.
  • Proficiency with regular expressions for input validation, parsing, and search or filter logic
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with experience debugging complex browser, performance, and state-management issues
  • Understanding of hybrid UI solutions and experience transitioning applications from one framework to another
  • Working knowledge of web application security, including CORS, XSS, CSRF, and content security policies
  • Understanding of secure authentication and authorisation flows (OAuth 2.0, JWT) in web applicationsAngular & Front-End Frameworks
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular 17 or higher (standalone components, signals, modern control flow)
  • Experience with TypeScript and RxJS (strict mode, generics, type-safe API models), reactive state management, and efficient change detection strategies
  • Understanding of micro front-end architecture, module federation, and shared component libraries
  • Preferred: Familiarity with other frameworks (React, Vue, AngularJS) to support migration and hybrid scenariosTesting & Quality Assurance
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests (Jasmine/Karma, Jest) for components, services, and pipes
  • Experience developing integration tests that validate UI behaviour against APIs and mocked services
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) for critical user journeysBuild, Delivery & Tooling
  • Good working knowledge of Git and SSH on Linux for source control and secure remote access
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for automated build, test, and deploy
  • Hands-on experience with npm, Angular CLI, and front-end build and bundling optimisation
  • Preferred: Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, EKS) and deploying front-end applications to the cloud
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SQL and relational databases to understand data behind the UI
  • Preferred: Knowledge of XDR, SIEM, or SOC platforms and the workflows analysts follow during triage and responseAI & Agentic Systems
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they surface in user experiences
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate coding, testing, and reviewsCollaboration & Ways of Working
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain UI trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for planning, tracking, and documentation
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and experience working in Scrum teams
  • Demonstrated ability to give and receive constructive code review feedbackQualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build responsive UI features in Angular 17+ from wireframes and design specifications.
  • Develop unit and integration tests to maintain high coverage and release confidence.
  • Write clean, maintainable code aligned with SOLID principles and front-end best practices.
  • Fix product defects and triage customer-reported issues with clear root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and backend teams to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards across the front-end codebase.
  • Support framework migrations and adoption of micro front-end architecture where required.
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and test coverage.
