We are seeking an experienced Databricks Engineer with strong Power BI expertise to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Databricks, Azure Data Services, ETL/Data Engineering, data modeling, and Power BI dashboard development.

Location : India (REMOTE)

Contract : (6 months, extendable)

Experience : 8+ years

Working Hours: AU/SYDNEY SHIFT - 5 am IST

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
  • Expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience with Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse Architecture, and data engineering concepts.
  • Strong experience in Power BI Development, Data Modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure cloud services.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop data solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and SQL.
  • Create and manage Delta Lake architectures and implement data lakehouse solutions.
  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards.
  • Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Optimize data models and reporting performance in Power BI.
  • Implement data security, governance, and access controls across Databricks and Power BI environments.
  • Integrate data from various sources including ERP, CRM, databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline and reporting issues.
  • Participate in data architecture discussions and recommend best practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming solutions.
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
