Chief Technology Officer

Career Growth is an early-stage EdTech startup helping students prepare for competitive exams, Olympiads, and live coding classes. We’re looking for a hands-on CTO to build our complete web and mobile platform from scratch and lead technology as we grow.

This is an equity-based role with no salary at this stage. Equity details are shared during the interview process.

What you’ll do:

• Build the web and mobile app for live classes, online tests, and student dashboards
• Own the tech stack, backend, database, infrastructure, and deployment
• Set up engineering processes, and hire and guide developers as the team growsRequired qualifications:
• 4+ years of software development experience, with proven full-stack skills
• Ability to design software architecture and build scalable web and mobile apps independently
• Strong backend experience in Python (Django/Flask), Node.js, or similar, with secure database management
• Frontend experience with React, Angular, Flutter, or similar
• Experience with cloud hosting (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and application security basics
• Experience taking at least one product from idea to launch
• Ownership mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to commit long term
• Leadership ability to guide a team, make technical decisions, and manage priorities and timelinesPreferred qualifications:
• Experience with live streaming, video infrastructure, or WebRTC
• Prior experience in EdTech or an early-stage startup
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
