Product Owner – eCommerce

About the Role

Tenarai is looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to drive product strategy, backlog prioritization, and end-to-end product delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Engineers, and Architects to translate business objectives into actionable product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Align product backlog priorities with product vision, business objectives, and technical strategy.
• Define MVPs and balance business value, technical debt, and platform improvements.
• Translate business OKRs into sprint goals and measurable outcomes.
• Create user stories with clear, concise, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Own end-to-end product backlog delivery and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and prioritization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on estimation, execution, business demos, and UAT.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on product capabilities, risks, and timelines.Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, preferably in retail.
• 5+ years of experience working with eCommerce systems.
• Strong expertise in Product Strategy, OKR Management, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, JIRA, and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Technical understanding of Microservices, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Good to Have
• Knowledge of SOX, PII, PCI, transaction security, and confidentiality regulations.
• Experience defining and managing OKRs to drive strategic outcomes.
