What We're Building

Kuvaka Tech builds AI software for healthcare in India, for hospitals, clinics and public health

programmes.

Much of the work in an Indian hospital still happens on paper, from memory or over the phone. Patients queue to register and repeat their symptoms at every desk. Doctors write notes after the consultation.

Insurance claims get rejected because the record is incomplete, and patient calls go unanswered.

We build the products that take this work off doctors and hospital staff: AI that takes a patient's history, documents consultations and surgeries, prepares medical coding and insurance claims, and handles patient calls and follow-ups, along with a complete hospital management system that also connects to the software hospitals already use. Everything works by voice, in the languages doctors and patients actually speak, so a patient who can't read can use it as easily as a specialist in a metro hospital.

The Role

You'll own your pod's product end to end. There's no designer and no web frontend developer, so design, frontend, backend and integrations are all yours.

You'll work closely with our product team and with hospitals, and you'll decide what gets built and how

before anyone asks. If you need detailed instructions to get moving, this role isn't for you.

How We Work

  • Each pod has an FDE who owns the product and a Founder's Office member who acts as delivery

manager.

  • QA and mobile are shared teams that work across all pods.
  • You agree scope and timelines with your delivery manager, and work with the mobile team on APIs so web and mobile feel like one product.
  • QA signs off every release, so you test your own code before handing it over.

What You'll Own

  • Proactively define what gets built and how: spend time with hospital teams and our product team, spot the gaps, and propose the solution.
  • Build full-stack features: a Python backend and APIs, and a web frontend you design yourself.
  • Configure and customise the platform to each hospital's workflows, and own go-live.
  • Integrate with hospital systems: HMS/EMR, billing, lab and pharmacy software, ABDM/ABHA and HL7 FHIR.
  • Build and tune LLM and voice AI workflows: prompts, evaluations, and fixes when the AI gets something wrong.
  • Test your work at developer level (unit, integration and API tests) before it goes to QA.
  • Build new features on our roadmap, end to end.

You'll Fit If You

  • Have 1–2 years of experience building and shipping products.
  • Write strong Python (FastAPI, Django or Flask) and are comfortable with Postgres, REST APIs, Git and cloud deployment.
  • Can build a clean, usable frontend (React or similar) without a designer.
  • Work well with minimal instructions: you ask the right questions, then make decisions and own them.
  • Can talk to a doctor or hospital administrator and turn what they say into a clear spec.
  • Use AI coding tools well and understand every line you ship.
  • Live in Indore or are open to relocating. Good to have: LLM or speech APIs, HL7 FHIR or ABDM, experience with healthcare or other regulated products.

Hours and Hiring Process

Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm, on-site at our Indore office. This is a priority hire, so we're moving fast and prefer immediate joiners.
