About the role
We are looking for a commercially driven apparel merchandising and category professional to decide what

intelligence, assortment planning, pricing recommendations and SKU-level commercial performance across
D2C, marketplaces and physical retail stores for The BT Club and Notre Diem.
Key responsibilities
1. Market intelligence and trend forecasting
- Research products, silhouettes, fits, fabrics, colours and consumer demand across Myntra, AJIO, Amazon,
Meesho, social platforms and relevant Indian/international apparel brands.
- Visit competing retail stores, malls, high streets and wholesale markets to understand local trends, price
points, product gaps and customer preferences.
- Produce actionable 30-, 60- and 90-day product forecasts and competitor intelligence, distinguishing
verified sales data from demand estimates.
2. Product and category planning
- Own category mix, style selection, colourways, size curves, SKU breadth/depth and seasonal or monthly
launch calendars for each brand.
- Recommend which products to introduce, test, scale, improve, markdown or discontinue, backed by sales
and margin data.
- Work with design, sourcing, production and marketing teams to turn product opportunities into
launch-ready assortments.
3. Retail store assortment and quantity planning - core ownership
- Create a store-wise buying and assortment plan specifying the number of distinct designs/styles,
category-wise design count, colour options per design, size ratios and units per SKU.
- Calculate total opening inventory by category and store, including floor display stock, back-room stock,
reserve inventory and required stock-cover days.
- Set initial order quantities, minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points and replenishment quantities
using sales forecasts, store capacity, lead times and expected sell-through.
- Tailor assortment breadth, depth and price architecture to store location, catchment, customer profile,
season and available selling space.
- Plan the number and frequency of new designs or drops, merchandising refreshes, size availability and
store-to-store stock transfers.
- Review each store's weekly sales, sell-through, size gaps, stock ageing and inventory productivity; adjust
quantities and assortment accordingly.
4. Pricing, costing and channel profitability
- Understand manufacturing and landed costs; recommend MRPs, channel-wise selling prices, promotional
discounts and target margins.
- Model marketplace commissions, fulfilment, shipping, payment fees, returns/RTO, markdowns and other
variable costs to calculate SKU-level contribution.
- Benchmark competitor prices across online channels and offline stores without undermining brand
positioning.
5. Sales, inventory and performance management
