Role Overview: Leads the core team and owns the robot end to end — requirements, architecture, schedule and the relationship with defence users — from concept to first field trials.

Location: Delhi NCR

Experience: 10–15 years; at least 3 years leading a hardware/robotics/defence engineering team. Education: BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace or Mechatronics.

Responsibilities

• Turn defence user needs into a requirements specification and system architecture; keep it under change control.
• Lead the core team, run design reviews and go/no-go gates, own the risk register.
• Select the off-the-shelf leg/actuator supplier and manage vendors and import logistics.
• Represent the program to defence customers: RFI/RFP responses, demos, user trials.
• Plan budget, timeline and the phase-2 hiring.Must have
• Systems engineering: requirements, interface control documents, V-model, verification planning.
• Led delivery of a physical product (UGV, UAV, robot, vehicle, weapon-platform electronics, or similar) from design to field.
• Working knowledge of Indian defence procurement: DAP 2020, iDEX, trials and DGQA inspection.
• Team leadership and vendor management.Good to have
• Ex-DRDO, DPSU or private defence; or ex-armed-forces technical officer (EME, Signals, Corps of Engineers).
• Robotics or autonomy background; familiarity with ROS.
• INCOSE CSEP / PMP; SysML / Cameo.Environmental qualification experience: JSS 55555, MIL-STD-810, MIL-ST
