Primary Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, SQL, and modern software engineering practices
Lead the development and enhancement of digital claims processing solutions, application modernization initiatives, and AI-enabled automation capabilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services and modern architecture patterns
Apply AI, Generative AI, and LLM-based technologies to improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and enhance user experience
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and solution planning activities to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, data integrations, and backend services supporting claims and healthcare business processes
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, quality, and performance standards throughout the software development lifecycle
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices, coding standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support production deployments, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing application support activities
Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
7+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise application development
Solid hands-on experience with Python and Spring Boot application development
Solid programming experience with Python for application development, automation, or AI-enabled solutions
Advanced SQL and relational database experience, including data modeling, performance tuning, and complex query development

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building or integrating AI, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, Agentic AI, or intelligent automation solutions
Experience with React or modern web application frameworks
Healthcare or health insurance industry experience, particularly within Claims processing, EOB, Member servicing, or Facets-related systems
Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application development
Experience with source control systems such as Git
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, AI evaluation frameworks, and AI-assisted software development practices
Familiarity with application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment
Proven solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
