Job Description – Java Technical Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Technical Lead to lead a team of developers and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, reactive programming, cloud technologies, and modern front-end frameworks, along with proven technical leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide developers through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure team productivity, quality of work, training, discipline, and morale.
  • Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Establish coding standards, engineering best practices, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to developers.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality releases on time.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, defects, and technical challenges.
  • Recommend emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve productivity and quality.
  • Handle project sizing, code migration, SLA monitoring, and maintenance window planning.
  • Develop on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid solutions for responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Lead technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Make informed trade-offs between scalability, performance, resilience, and delivery timelines.Required Technical Skills
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Java Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Java EE, and Spring WebFlux.
  • Front-End Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React or similar frameworks.
  • Databases: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • API Management: Hands-on experience with Apigee.
  • API Development: SOAP and RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Messaging & Streaming: Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Version Control: Git and GitLab.
  • CI/CD: GitLab CI pipeline configuration.
  • Caching: Redis, Memcached, or Hazelcast.
  • Containers: Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Application Servers: Tomcat.
  • Development Tools: IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or Visual Studio Code.
  • Project Management: Jira.
  • Architecture: Microservices architecture and resiliency design patterns.
  • Methodology: Agile development methodologies.Technical Leadership Requirements
  • Proven experience leading technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Strong understanding of engineering best practices, including code reviews, coding standards, CI/CD, and testing standards.
  • Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
  • Ability to guide teams and ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.Hiring Details
