Solutions Architect – LCNC Platform

Experience: 2–4 years

Location : Bangalore

Role overview

The Solutions Architect is the technical owner of GIVA’s workflow team: they design how each application should work and then build it themselves on the low-code / no-code (LCNC) platform. They work directly with business teams to understand how processes run today, then turn agreed requirements into data models, approval logic, integrations and dashboards that run day-to-day operations across retail, supply chain, merchandising, finance and HR.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll own each workflow end to end, from mapping the process with the business team to building and supporting the solution, while also setting the standards, integration patterns and guardrails that keep the platform maintainable as it grows.

Key responsibilities

1. Process discovery and requirements

  • Partner with Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance and HR to find manual spreadsheets, email-based approvals and other operational bottlenecks.
  • Run discovery workshops and map current (AS-IS) and improved (TO-BE) processes.
  • Write requirement documents, user stories and acceptance criteria sized for rapid LCNC delivery, covering data fields, validation rules, SLA escalations and permissions.
  • Use wireframes, swimlanes or quick prototypes to agree on the design with business teams before building.
  • Assess incoming automation requests for business value, and decide whether the CoE builds them or the business team builds them as a self-serve workflow.
  • Drive adoption after launch: train end users, track usage and plan enhancements.2. Solution and data design
  • Translate agreed requirements into application designs: data models, business rule tables, approval matrices and multi-step workflow logic.
  • Define role-based access control (RBAC) and field- and row-level security for every application.
  • Design data flows so that core systems (ERP, POS, WMS, Shopify) remain the systems of record, while operational workflows run on the LCNC layer.3. Application build and configuration
  • Build responsive web and mobile apps using the platform’s visual builders and workflow modules.
  • Create dynamic forms with conditional visibility, formulas, validations and OCR / document-processing components.
  • Configure sequential and parallel approvals, SLA timers, auto-escalations and conditional branching.
  • Set up external portals for vendors, suppliers and retail partners, with appropriate security controls.4. Integrations and scripting
  • Build bi-directional integrations with internal and third-party systems using pre-built connectors, REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Write lightweight scripts (JavaScript or Python) for data transformations, calculations and advanced validations.5. Reporting and dashboards
  • Build operational status boards, KPI dashboards and drill-down reports for business teams and leadership.
  • Keep layouts and UI patterns consistent across applications on desktop and mobile.6. Governance and standards
  • Set up and maintain CoE guardrails: reusable templates and components, naming conventions, and Dev / UAT / Prod release management.
  • Review applications, including those built by citizen developers, for data integrity, security and performance before they go live.7. Testing, rollout and support
  • Test components, functions and integrations in staging before promoting to production, then lead UAT with business users, track defects and get sign-off.
  • Resolve user-reported issues, improve workflow performance and ship iterative enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Give departmental citizen developers reusable building blocks, technical guidance and troubleshooting support.Required qualifications and core skills
  • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on development on low-code platforms, business process automation, or full-stack development, including some experience gathering requirements and designing solutions end to end rather than only building to someone else’s specification.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related field. Equivalent hands-on experience with low-code platforms will also be considered.
  • Process analysis: Experience running requirement workshops and mapping processes (BPMN, swimlanes, AS-IS / TO-BE), and breaking operations such as procure-to-pay, inventory exceptions or store onboarding into clear workflow steps.
  • APIs and integration: Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and OAuth2; comfortable testing integrations with tools like Postman.
  • Data: Good grasp of relational data modelling, normalisation and basic SQL / NoSQL queries.
  • Scripting: Solid fundamentals in JavaScript or Python, plus basic HTML and CSS.
  • Security: Practical understanding of RBAC, SSO and audit requirements for business applications.
  • Process logic: Clear thinking about business conditions, approval loops, state changes and error handling.
  • Speed with judgement: Can ship a working prototype in days, while knowing when a shortcut will create technical debt later.
  • Communication: Comfortable explaining technical trade-offs to business users and working directly with them in requirement and UAT sessions.Preferred platform experience
  • Hands-on build experience on one or more low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas / Model-Driven), Power Automate, Zoho Creator, Mendix, OutSystems, Appian or ServiceNow.
  • Experience integrating with retail or e-commerce systems (Shopify, POS, ERP, WMS) is a strong plus.
