A high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company hiring its founding India product team

Where the company stands

A VC-backed SaaS company that sells workflow software to mid-sized finance teams is opening its first engineering and product team in India and has retained Flexiple to hire a senior product manager. The founders and a small group of product leads sit in the US. India will own a full product area: the integrations and data-import layer that every new customer touches in their first month. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams in India.

The mandate

There is no inherited roadmap to maintain. You will decide what onboarding and integrations should become, argue for it with customers and leadership, and then steer a team of engineers and a designer toward it. Expect ambiguity, thin documentation and a lot of direct customer calls.

What you would own

  • Discovery with customers and customer success to find where setup stalls or fails
  • A written strategy and a rolling quarterly roadmap for the area, defended with data
  • Metrics for activation, time to first value and integration reliability
  • Weekly prioritisation with engineering, and honest trade-off calls when scope slips
  • Hiring input and mentoring for the PMs and associates who will join the India team laterWhat we are after
  • 6 to 10 years in product management, with at least three in B2B SaaS
  • Proof that you have taken an area from vague problem to shipped, measured outcome
  • Ease with SQL or product analytics tools and with reading API documentation
  • Strong written English; most decisions happen in documents and recorded updates
  • Comfort working a few hours into the US morningNice to have
  • Experience in integrations, data platforms or fintech workflow products
  • Time spent as an early PM at a small companyWhat the seat offers
