Agentic AI Lead - GenAI / LLM | Insurance / BFSI | Gurugram

About the client: A leading insurance company is building out its Enterprise AI & Decision Intelligence function and is hiring an Agentic AI Lead to design and deliver enterprise-grade AI agents and multi-agent systems.

Location: Gurugram (work from office, 5 days a week)

Experience: 8–12 years (Senior Manager level)

Notice period: Immediate to 30 days preferred

The role

You will design, build and operationalise reliable, scalable, secure and cost-efficient Agentic AI solutions that automate complex business workflows and integrate seamlessly with enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop autonomous and multi-agent AI workflows for enterprise use cases – agent responsibilities, tool usage, orchestration logic and inter-agent communication
• Build AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, task execution and workflow automation
• Design, test and optimise prompts, system instructions and reusable prompt templates; improve grounding, accuracy and hallucination control
• Implement fallback logic, retries, escalation and human-in-the-loop workflows
• Design and implement RAG architectures and agent memory (short-term, long-term, vector and contextual); optimise embeddings, chunking and semantic search
• Integrate Azure OpenAI and other LLM platforms with enterprise systems, APIs and business applications (CRM, policy systems, workflow engines, knowledge repositories)
• Optimise latency, throughput, token usage and inference cost
• Define guardrails for responsible AI, security, compliance and data privacy; implement observability, logging, evaluation frameworks and monitoring
• Use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to raise engineering productivity while maintaining quality
• Contribute to reusable AI engineering frameworks, accelerators and enterprise AI platforms

What we are looking for

• 8–12 years in Software Engineering, AI Engineering or Intelligent Automation
• Hands-on experience delivering GenAI / Agentic AI solutions into production in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in LLMs and orchestration frameworks – Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel or similar
• Strong understanding of RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings and semantic search
• Experience with prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks and AI guardrails
• Strong Python, FastAPI, REST API and backend engineering skills; cloud-native and microservices architecture
• Understanding of AI observability, token optimisation and inference cost management
• Knowledge of enterprise security, AI governance and responsible AI practices
• Insurance, Banking or Fintech (BFSI) experience is a strong plus
