Senior Software Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Software Engineer to join our IT Services team, where you will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering robust, scalable software solutions. This position demands a deep understanding of modern distributed systems and a commitment to excellence in code quality and system performance. The ideal candidate will drive technical innovation, optimize complex architectures, and leverage advanced AI-driven development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of reliability and efficiency within our dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable database solutions utilizing PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and optimal query performance.
  • Architect and develop distributed computing systems with a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Lead performance tuning initiatives and establish comprehensive observability practices to monitor system health and proactively identify bottlenecks.
  • Manage version control workflows and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps to streamline deployment processes.
  • Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies to ensure code reliability and reduce technical debt.
  • Develop and maintain AI observability frameworks to track and analyze the behavior of intelligent systems and agents.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support modular, loosely coupled application architectures.
  • Engineer AI agents and agentic workflows, utilizing cutting-edge tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor to enhance developer productivity.
  • Create and deploy Model Context Protocol (MCP) LLM applications and integrate various AI APIs to extend system capabilities.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Possess 5 to 15 years of professional software engineering experience within the IT Services sector.
  • Demonstrate expert proficiency in relational database management systems, specifically PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Show proven expertise in system design principles, particularly regarding distributed computing environments.
  • Have a strong track record in performance optimization and implementing observability solutions for complex systems.
  • Be well-versed in version control systems (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) platforms like Azure DevOps.
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of testing frameworks, including TDD and BDD practices.
  • Understand the landscape of AI development, including AI agents, agentic workflows, and AI observability.
  • Experience working with modern AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor.
  • Ability to develop MCP LLM applications and integrate external AI APIs effectively.
  • Salary expectations should align with the range of ₹8-14 LPA based on experience and skill set.
