HRMS Business Consultant -Payroll

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Business Consultant – Payroll to support the implementation, configuration, and functional consulting of our HRMS and Payroll software. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of payroll processes, HR operations, statutory compliance, and client requirements.

The candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements, configure the software, facilitate implementation, and ensure smooth payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements related to payroll, HRMS, and statutory compliance.
• Conduct client discussions to gather business requirements and understand existing payroll processes.
• Assist in the implementation, configuration, and customization of Payroll and HRMS solutions.
• Map client business processes to software functionalities and recommend suitable solutions.
• Manage payroll-related activities, including salary structures, earnings, deductions, reimbursements, and payroll processing workflows.
• Understand and support statutory payroll components such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, and other applicable compliance requirements.
• Prepare functional documentation, requirement specifications, process flows, and implementation reports.
• Conduct software demonstrations, user training, and knowledge-transfer sessions for clients.
• Perform functional testing, identify issues, and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
• Provide post-implementation support and resolve client queries related to payroll functionality.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Support presales activities, including product demonstrations and functional discussions, whenever required.Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in Payroll, HRMS, HCM, or Payroll Software Implementation.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, salary structures, and HR/payroll business processes.
• Knowledge of Indian payroll statutory compliance, including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and TDS.
• Good understanding of HRMS modules such as Core HR, Leave Management, Attendance, and Employee Lifecycle Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-handling abilities.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on implementation experience with any HRMS, HCM, or Payroll software.
• Experience in client-facing functional consulting or business analysis.
• Exposure to end-to-end software implementation, from requirement gathering to go-live and post-implementation support.
• Experience in presales activities, product demonstrations, and client presentations.
• Familiarity with payroll compliance updates and process automation.
