Java Technical Lead

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a

related discipline; a Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (cloud, security

or architecture) is desirable.

● 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, predominantly in Java and

enterprise back-end development.

● 2+ years leading engineers — as a tech lead, team lead or engineering manager —

including responsibility for the technical direction and development of others; formal line

management experience is strongly preferred.

● Demonstrable experience designing and delivering system-to-system integrations and

APIs in an enterprise environment, including working directly with third-party or client

technical teams.

● Experience operating production services at scale, including on-call or escalation

responsibility, incident management and root cause analysis.

● Experience working in Agile delivery with product owners and distributed teams, and of

engaging stakeholders in different time zones.

● Experience in HR technology, recruitment technology, staffing or a comparable

data-integration-heavy domain is an advantage but not a requirement.

● Seniority: middle management — a senior individual technical contributor who also

carries formal people management responsibility for a small team.
