Role Description The Shopify Developer will work on-site in Kanpur in a full-time capacity, developing and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce websites for a variety of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include building custom themes, optimizing existing stores, integrating apps and third-party tools, and ensuring responsive, user-friendly designs. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, improving site performance, and implementing best practices for SEO and conversions. The developer will collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to translate business requirements into functional Shopify solutions and support ongoing enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Shopify skills, including theme development, Liquid templating, and customization of Shopify settings and apps.
  • Candidates should possess front-end development skills such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design for cross-device compatibility.
  • Candidates should possess e-commerce and UX skills, including product catalog setup, checkout flow optimization, and user experience best practices.
  • Candidates should possess integration and troubleshooting skills, including working with APIs, third-party plugins, and debugging performance or functionality issues.
  • Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with design, content, and marketing teams and to understand client requirements.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, are beneficial.
  • Experience with SEO basics, Google Analytics, and conversion tracking, as well as prior work on Shopify projects or other e-commerce platforms, is an advantage.
  • Local candidates able to work on-site in Kanpur are preferred.
