Summary

UST is looking for a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Cloud Gateway, OAuth2, RabbitMQ, and modern front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable enterprise applications, designing microservices architectures, and supporting mission-critical healthcare applications while collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java Full Stack technologies. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support healthcare business functions, including claims, member, and provider management.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and modern front-end technologies.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  • Design and implement API Gateway solutions using Cloud Gateway technologies.
  • Build responsive user interfaces using Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Develop secure applications leveraging OAuth2 authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Implement asynchronous messaging and event-driven integrations using RabbitMQ.
  • Develop and maintain middleware services and enterprise integration components.
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
  • Integrate applications with cloud services, third-party APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Participate in application architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Develop unit tests and support performance optimization initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application stability, reliability, and security.
  • Analyze production failures and perform effective defect triaging activities.
  • Support provider data systems and handle production support activities, including WAR room discussions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver business solutions.
  • Review and understand Jira user stories, acceptance criteria, and independently work with business teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials for team members.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices.

What You Need

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java Full Stack development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.
  • Experience building REST APIs and API Gateway implementations.
  • Expertise in OAuth2 security frameworks and authentication mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and messaging solutions.
  • Experience developing frontend applications using Angular or React.
  • Strong SQL development and database optimization skills.
  • Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.
  • Experience working with Git repositories and version control.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently with business stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
