Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Engineer with strong expertise in native Android development, Kotlin, and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). The role requires experience building scalable mobile applications, developing and integrating shared Kotlin modules across Android and iOS, and contributing to backend architecture using GraphQL and Node.js. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the mobile and backend technology stack and collaborating with Android, iOS, and backend engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin. Develop and maintain shared business logic using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). Build reusable Kotlin modules that can be consumed by both Android and iOS applications. Collaborate with iOS engineers to support the integration of KMP shared modules into iOS applications. Develop clean, modular, maintainable, and testable mobile application architectures. Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs. Contribute to backend system architecture using GraphQL and Node.js. Design and consume GraphQL APIs for mobile applications. Troubleshoot application performance, integration, and production issues across mobile and backend components. Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices. Work closely with product, frontend, iOS, Android, and backend teams throughout the development lifecycle. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards within the team. Required Skills 7+ years of software development experience, with strong Android application development experience and Jetpack Compose Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Android. Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform / Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMP/KMM). Experience developing and integrating shared Kotlin modules across Android and iOS. Good understanding of iOS integration of Kotlin Multiplatform modules. Experience with modern Android architecture and application design patterns. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, networking, dependency injection, testing, and application lifecycle. Hands-on experience integrating frontend/mobile applications with GraphQL APIs. Experience with Node.js and backend application/service development. Understanding of backend system architecture, service integration, API design, scalability, and performance. Experience with Git and modern CI/CD development practices. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
