Technical Program Manager
About the Role
Asper.ai is moving fast, and we need a Technical Program Manager II who can turn that speed into momentum. You will lead complex, cross-functional programs from idea to launch, keeping Engineering, Data Science, Product, Design, and Customer Success aligned on one plan, one set of priorities, and one definition of done. This is a high-ownership role where you run your programs largely on your own, take initiative the moment something looks like it might slip, and shape how work actually flows across your teams. You will also play a dual role as Scrum Master and Program Manager, so you won’t just track delivery; you’ll build the rhythm that drives it. At Asper.ai, you’ll be building AI products with a steep learning curve, a fast pace, and every program teaching you something new. If you love turning a bold idea into a roadmap and a roadmap into shipped product, this is the seat for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product and program roadmaps, partnering with the department leads to give leadership and cross-functional teams a clear view of what is coming, when, and why.
- Own program governance by tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and scope changes, and surfacing them early with options attached.
- Deliver concise, data-backed program status updates to leadership, covering progress, risks, decisions needed, and the outlook for the next cycle.
- Act as the internal bridge between Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Design, translating priorities into sequenced, achievable plans.
- Lead sprint ceremonies and backlog grooming for your pods, ensuring every sprint has a clear goal, a well-prioritised backlog, and commitments the team can own.
- Run daily scrums across pods, removing blockers quickly and keeping work moving without adding unnecessary meeting overhead.
- Define and monitor delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, predictability, and risk burn-down, and use them to course-correct before problems compound.
- Resolve conflicts over scope, resources, and priorities, escalating only when necessary and always with clear trade-off options.
- Drive TPMO initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s operating rhythm, including standard templates, reporting cadences, playbooks, and process improvements that other programs can adopt.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in project or program management, with a track record of independently running complex, multi-team programs.
- Strong technical fluency in how SaaS and PaaS platforms are built and operated, including a solid understanding of APIs, data pipelines, data science workflows, cloud infrastructure, and deployment workflows.
- High Agile fluency, with hands-on experience across Scrum and Kanban practices and the ability to coach teams on them.
- Working proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Excel.
- Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or PMI-ACP (or equivalent).
