Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for our mobility platform. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, experience building reliable backend systems, and the ability to take ownership of features from development through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications.
- Build and optimize backend services, REST APIs, and database integrations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software engineering best practices.
- Design and implement robust system architectures to support business and product requirements.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver features.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and engineering standards.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Contribute to technical discussions, system design decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Take ownership of assigned features and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar.
- Experience developing backend services, REST APIs, and distributed applications.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization, and application security.
- Experience with debugging, testing, and production issue resolution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product development environment.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, caching, and message queues.
- Experience building high-availability applications or handling high-volume transactions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
