Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Scala, backend engineering, distributed systems, and scalable application architecture. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance systems, driving technical decisions, and providing engineering guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and Scala.
  • Lead the design and implementation of microservices and distributed systems.
  • Drive system design, architecture decisions, and technical problem-solving for complex engineering challenges.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven applications.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
  • Work with concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous processing, and memory management.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and promote code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java and Scala.
  • Excellent knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
  • Expertise in system design, distributed systems, and design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging and event-streaming platforms.
  • Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
  • Experience with unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
