Senior Java Backend Engineer- Experience of 5 years and Above
Build the Tech Behind Capital Markets at PhillipCapital India.We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Mumbai. In this role, you will play a central part in building, scaling, and securing low-latency, high-throughput backend systems that power our core financial and stock broking platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
Build and manage REST APIs using clean MVC and layered architecture principles.
Implement complex business logic, validations, exception handling, authentication, authorization, and transaction management.
Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases using SQL and PostgreSQL.
Manage database migrations and schema versioning using Flyway.
Integrate backend applications with third-party APIs, external platforms, and enterprise systems.
Ensure secure data handling, encryption, and application-level access controls.
Develop and manage document generation, file processing, and object storage solutions.
Containerize applications using Docker and Docker Compose and support deployment across different environments.
Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and deployment issues.
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and follow coding best practices.
Take end-to-end ownership of features, from solution design and development to deployment and production support
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot / Spring MVC.
Working knowledge of Golang.
REST API development and integration.MVC, layered architecture, and backend application design.
SQL, PostgreSQL, database design, and query optimization.
Flyway for database migration and version control.
Docker and Docker Compose.
Authentication, authorization, security, and transaction management.
External API integration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Application deployment and production support.
Git and API documentation tools.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
