We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can guide engineers, make sound architectural decisions, establish practical engineering standards, and take accountability for delivery and customer outcomes.

About the roleAs Engineering Lead, you will own technical direction and engineering delivery for your team. You will turn product priorities and customer requirements into clear designs, executable plans, and dependable releases.

You will remain actively involved in design, code reviews, implementation, and production troubleshooting while helping engineers deliver effectively. You will also serve as a primary technical contact for customers across the world, leading technical discussions, managing expectations, and ensuring that commitments are understood and followed through.

Our technology includes Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, Python, SQL databases, and Redis, deployed in cloud environments. Machine learning and agentic AI experience are significant advantages.

What you will do· Lead architecture and technical design across frontend applications, backend services, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.

• Translate business goals and customer requirements into technical plans, milestones, estimates, and clear ownership.
• Take accountability for end-to-end delivery, from discovery and design through development, testing, deployment, customer acceptance, and production support.
• Coordinate engineering work, manage dependencies, remove blockers, and address delivery risks early.
• Work with product leadership and customers to agree priorities, clarify scope, and communicate trade-offs when requirements or timelines change.
• Establish and improve practical standards for architecture, coding, reviews, testing, security, documentation, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
• Guide and mentor engineers, delegate effectively, provide constructive feedback, and hold the team accountable for quality and commitments.
• Contribute code to critical or complex areas and help resolve difficult technical and production issues.
• Lead customer requirements workshops, technical demonstrations, integration discussions, and rollout planning across countries and time zones.
• Communicate progress, decisions, risks, and recovery plans clearly to customers and company leadership.
• Drive incident resolution and follow-up improvements that strengthen reliability and prevent recurring issues.
• Evaluate technologies thoughtfully, including ML and agentic AI approaches, and guide their use where they solve a clear product or customer need.

What you bring· Typically 8+ years of software engineering experience, including demonstrated experience leading engineers and delivering production software.

• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot expertise, with the ability to guide full stack development using React and TypeScript.
• Practical Python development experience.
• Strong SQL, relational database design, query optimization, and Redis caching experience.
• Experience designing maintainable systems, APIs, and integrations, with attention to security, reliability, and performance.
• Practical cloud architecture and deployment experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and production operations.
• A track record of owning delivery, managing scope and dependencies, and responding constructively when plans change.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including clear technical proposals, delivery updates, and customer-facing discussions.
• Experience managing direct technical relationships with customers, resolving ambiguity, and setting realistic expectations.
• Strong ownership and accountability, including the willingness to make decisions, escalate risks, and follow through on outcomes.
• Ability to lead through clear direction, technical credibility, coaching, and collaboration.
• Ability to coordinate with international customers and distributed teams across time zones.

Experience that is a significant plus· Designing, deploying, or operating machine learning capabilities in production.

• Building agentic AI applications using LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Microsoft Azure architecture and operations experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture, event-driven systems, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with logistics, ports, terminals, or enterprise operational systems.
